Every day our community faces mental health challenges that law enforcement is not trained to mitigate. 老澳门六合彩开奖聽 provides in-person mobile crisis outreach for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis through three separate programs in Los Angeles County, Riverside County and the City of West Hollywood 鈥 all part of our Mobile Crisis Outreach Programs (MCOP). With previous experience and success delivering mobile crisis outreach services to our client network, we are honored to have the opportunity to expand these critical programs in Southern California.

MOCOo team by team van

Each response team includes a Licensed Mental Health Professional and a Peer Support Specialist, someone who has personal experience (themselves or their child) with homelessness, substance abuse, or mental health challenges. They provide timely support including: crisis stabilization, safety planning, transportation to a hospital or other location of care (when needed), connections to resources and follow up support.

In partnership with the City of West Hollywood, 老澳门六合彩开奖鈥 Care Team program complements the mobile crisis outreach services in the community, providing support and resources to 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline calls when in-person support is needed in West Hollywood and Care Team services are the best match.聽聽

Why Mobile Crisis Outreach Matters

There is a tremendous need among individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges to receive compassionate professional care. While 911 is traditionally the number people think to contact in an emergency, the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (988) in Los Angeles County and the Crisis & Suicide Intervention HELPline 951-686-HELP (4357) in Riverside County, are alternative numbers to call explicitly designed for mental health crises. If the call necessitates an immediate, in-person response, 老澳门六合彩开奖 MCOP is dispatched to assess the situation and provide compassionate, respectful care. MCOP offers a much-needed support system and is often the only lifeline for people who are struggling with mental health issues or other crises.

Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams (MCOT)

While approximately 97% of calls to 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline are handled over the phone by a trained professional, calls warranting an in-person emergency response in most of Los Angeles County are handled by 老澳门六合彩开奖 Mobile Crisis Outreach Teams (MCOT) in partnership with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health. Timely support includes stabilization, safety planning, transportation to a hospital or other location of care (when needed), connections to resources and follow-up support.

Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT)

老澳门六合彩开奖 Mobile Crisis Response Teams (MCRT), in partnership with Riverside University Health System - Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH), offer in-person emergency behavioral health services for those facing mental health or substance-related crises in Riverside County. Responding to calls directed to the Crisis & Suicide Intervention HELPline 951-686-HELP (4357) during overnight hours, we provide on-site support when needed, with the goal to de-escalate and stabilize situations, and minimize law enforcement or hospitalization involvement whenever feasible.

West Hollywood Care Team

老澳门六合彩开奖 operates Care Teams in partnership with the City of West Hollywood to aid people experiencing a behavioral health crisis in the city. Staffed by two Peer Support Specialists, Care Team responds to 988 calls when in-person support is needed, and Care Team services are the best fit. They provide referrals and follow-up care for noncritical needs related to social services, shelter and housing, food resources, mental health services, legal services, substance misuse, and safety planning. Law Enforcement, L.A. County Fire personnel and community partners can also request on-scene Care Team support.
